HOW TO APPLY
Collide Call For Artists
Following the success of the past five years, Collide is returning to commission new work by minority ethnic* artists, and organisations working with minority ethnic artists in the West Midlands area. This is part of a city to city collaboration between Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and Coventry local authorities.
To date, Collide has commissioned 55 new projects including multimedia theatre performances, spoken word, outdoor Rangoli, and a documentary on hip-hop to mention a few.
COLLIDE is offering awards of up to £5,000 for innovative arts projects. We're open to all artforms including film and new media, visual and performing arts.
COLLIDE is about new work, new collaborations, new artistic ideas all crashing together to create work in both traditional and unusual spaces. Be creative, be imaginative - be inspired!
COLLIDE is about supporting the wealth of creativity, talent and imagination from minority ethnic communities within Coventry, Birmingham, and Wolverhampton.
COLLIDE projects will be showcased during the September 2007 Collide West Midlands festival, and will be promoted jointly by Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Coventry local authorities.
We want ideas to be artist generated and led, and we're here to discuss your ideas with you. The process is simple - it's the idea that's important. All you need to do is fill out a proposal form and return it to us by the deadline of Friday 18th August 2006.
If we agree to fund the project in principle, we will work with you to develop the project. Now's your chance to turn your ideas into reality!
