The Sharing by Rocky Amoo (Babatunde)
High energy new work from six piece drumming collective BABTUNDE, joined live on stage by leading Asian vocalists Aashig Al Rasual. All star line up from Birmingham's percussion masters - Rocky Amoo, Andy Mason, Hugh Graham, Mark Magoo, Goggie Eifel and John Richards - taking time out from national touring to bring explosive beats from West Africa, the Caribbean and Brazil.

Rocky Amoo (Babatunde)The Sharing Ceol Castle (Moseley Road) Babatundelive was formed in 2001 by musician Rocky Amoo (formerly with internationally renowned Kokuma Dance Theatre Company), drawing some of the most respected drummers and teachers in the West Midlands into one performance group with exceptional flair. Babatundelive are a high-energy percussion ensemble bringing explosive beats influenced by West African, Caribbean and Brazilian rhythms. Babatundelive has toured Nationally. Performances include festivals, and they have also proved to be a favourite amongst students and are sought after to perform at university gigs. They have recently performed at the launch of Black History month in the West Midlands and have also been chosen to front the advertising campaign. Babatundelive was commissioned by Birmingham City Council in 2002 to work with other artists in the community and they produced a high-energy collaboration with the use of Asian Vocals. Babatundelive have performed at the NEC arena for the athletics championships and also various performances at Centenary Square to welcome state visitors to the midlands.
